Organic Certification

Stoneycreek Farm is a member of the Wairarapa Organics and OrganicFarmNZ certification scheme. We are assessed in accordance to the OrganicFarmNZ Production Standards, which currently are the same as BioGro’s Standards. It takes 3 years to become ‘fully certified’ organic. We cannot call our produce ‘organic’ prior to achieving the status ‘fully certified’. Instead we must say our produce is under conversion. There are four different levels:

1. "C0 Under Conversion"

2. "C1 Under Conversion"

3. "C2 Under Conversion"

4. "Fully Certified"

OrganicFarmNZ has certified Stoneycreek Farm ‘C2 Under Conversion’. We hope to achieve the status ‘Fully Certified' in September 2009.
