Stoneycreek is a family-run farm of approximately 300 acres owned and farmed by Steve Hart, Pippa Cain and their three children Emily, Jessica and Sophie. Located in the bush-clad foothills of the Tararua Ranges, the pigs free range on land where no artificial fertilisers or pesticides are used and where they obtain a healthy, varied and natural diet. Living in family groups (mobs), the sows and growing pigs free range in a natural habitat, with the boar moving between these groups as he watches over his girls. Our vision is a sustainable farm, supporting wildlife and the environment while maintaining high animal welfare standards and enabling the pigs to express their natural behaviour.
Using meat from pigs raised on our farm, we make quality food products to order. Our products contain only meat and spices - NO artifical additives, NO preservatives, NO colouring and NO fillers. The bacon and hams are nitrite free. All products are gluten free.
Our products can be purchased directly from us and are also found in outlets throughout New Zealand - The Commonsense Organics stores in the Wellington region, The Greytown Butchery, The Organic Green Grocer, Cornucopia Natural Foods and Chantal Foods to name a few.
